Radiation Oncology
Gerald H. Sokol, M.D., MSc., FCP Gerald H. Sokol, M.D. is board certified in Internal Medicine, Radiation Oncology, Medical Oncology, Clinical Pharmacology, and Quality Assurance. Dr. Sokol received an MD and MS from Indiana University’s combined degree program in experimental medicine in the top 10% of his class.

Dr Sokol completed an Internship at Temple University, Philadelphia, PA followed by Residencies in Internal Medicine at USPHS Hospital (in affiliation with Johns Hopkins University), the University of Maryland, Baltimore, MD and the National Cancer Institute. Dr. Sokol was a resident and Fellow at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School in Radiation Oncology, Medical Oncology, and Clinical Pharmacology.

Dr. Sokol is licensed in the states of Florida and Washington, DC. He is board certified and holds staff privileges at Brooksville/Spring Hill Regional Hospital, New Port Richey Hospital, North Bay Medical Center, Oak Hill Hospital, Regional Medical Center at Bayonet Point, Tampa General Hospital, and the Moffitt Cancer Center.

Dr Sokol has received numerous honors and awards including a Life Board Member American Cancer Society, Honorary Government Service Award, Navy Medical Service Awards, Reviewer Excellence Award, FDA Award for Drug Review, the FDA Performance Award among others. He has published over 60 articles and over 300 Government “white paper” opinion papers on drugs, drug development and protocol design. He sits at the review staff at the FDA Center for Drug Evaluation Research and has numerous appointments at the NCI and professorships at the USUHS and USF. He is a frequent guest lecturer at multiple academic conferences. He is a Fellow of the American College of Clinical Pharmacology.
